Life is an adventure. With its ups and its downs. A different adventure for each of us.
Since I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in 2009 I started trying to seize every opportunity to live and enjoy every part of the adventure. Sometimes with success, and sometimes not.
But the point is to keep moving forward. Grab whatever comes your way and make the most of it.
Having talked to people about my condition, I have gotten all sorts of feedback. Sadness, sorrow, pity, confusion, pride, support.
So we come to why I decided to start a blog – although I have to admit I never felt particularly creative, or a writer for that matter.
This is an attempt to verbalize what my life is like, and also discuss medical developments in the field of MS. Share the joys and sorrows of everyday life. Show how people with MS can still have a life and be productive. How we deserve to be treated just like any other person. How we are in fact stronger and more capable than what people may think, and why there is hope.
I will not go as far as say we are superheroes. Or special. We are the same as everyone else. And our life is the same as everyone else’s – albeit a bit more complex. So join me – and the millions of people with MS – in this adventure in walking through the fog.
